dug--

here is the case that keeps churning in my head...

a) BEL orders going forward are going to be larger than anyone thinks.
b) GTE and BT and even BC are going great and are only going to get larger.
c) ORCTF/Fujitsu are out of GTE.
d) Fujitsu looking to partner with WSTL in noram, breaking the ORCTF relationship.
e) LU and ALA have expressed an interest in buying the company.
f) the company is going to be profitable way sooner than anyone thinks.

any one of these things could be true. and anyone of them could drive the stock much higher. now, if management knows this, but can keep the lid on it, especially an offer from LU or ALA, it makes sense to go out and buy the float back at a deep discount. most of the institutions are out, so that leaves...the small fry, US.

now, i have not fully familiarized myself with all the legal ramifications, but it may be possible for us to get an injunction to block the LBO.

THIS IS ALL COMPLETE SPECULATION!!!!! we dont know what is going on at the company, and we dont know what management is thinking. however, in this kind of environment anything is possible. as a side note...all of this is also likely...

a) we have lost BEL DMT and management knows it.
b) profitablity on DSL will never materialize.
c) no buyouts.

we have to look at everything. right now it doesnt look good for the company, and this is priced into the stock.

dug...i am beginning to think an LBO might not even be a remote possiblity. my reasoning is that junk is dead, and there is little if any real merchant/commercial liquidity. however, until that changes the company could do one really nice thing to us...restrict trading in the common. wanna see what little liquidity we have dry up quick<G>?

all the recent purchasers and those considering a little bottom fishing need to be cognizant of the fact that we dont have much information and management has not been terribly forthcoming. this is not a good environment for purchasing long, IMO.

BWTFDIK

good luck to all,
trey
