Pierre,

<<No, gentlemen, I say I am still far from a believer in HiFD.>>

Well, me too for that matter. As I said I have heard it is too expensive. I wasn't ne3ccessarily saying that HiFD is going to sweep the market at all. All I said is that to comapre it to the Hi Capacity removable drives is silly. there is no comparison. And it doesn't matter. The market is diverging into wo distinct segments. I am not sure I would argue with you that one of those is going away. Maybe so. But I kind of doubt it. For whatever reason the box makers seem to be hung up on this backward compatibility issue (Jobs aside). And I guess I can see that. I mean, come on...can you really go cold turkey? I know you are super configured but gee whiz man...you are heads above us common users <G> Interestingly I can think of at least 6 times in the last year where a floppy disk saved me. If you are a road warrior then you really gotta have it right? And much better if you have 120 or 200 MBytes to boot. (Howzat for a pun to make you groan?<g>).
Best,
Stitch
