Why does NEXT have to be a desparate company gasping to survive, I know of alot of small software compainies private and public that make a very nice living off of sales less than 50 million. Sure they will never become microsoft, but does everyone have to be like microsoft or is there only going to be one company in ten years. Microsoft will One Trillion dollars in Sales. I don't think so. Strategically the NEXT deal is good for Apple. The problam that everyone has is it will not dramtically contribute to Apple's bottom line next quarter. Apple is the best alternative to Wintel and without competetion we all get #$%* by the one two punch of Intel and Microsoft!
