Yeah, I guess you're right in a sense. There's much more of the "status symbol" behind Porsche over that "cow" company.

Perhaps a better analogy would be those high-end Digital Dolby sound systems connected to the home theatre setups, including DVD, the HDTV projection screen, and satellite dish. Or maybe the deal behind those flat-panel LCD monitors which you can hang on the wall. Or ...

Oh what the heck. Gateway is just pandering to guys like me who would spend 3x the normal price of a hard drive just to get the 10,000 RPM SCSI version. We're few in numbers, but hopefully Gateway knows this. Intel sure knows that the Xeon isn't meant to be sold in huge numbers.
