I did not listen to the call, but the second hand observations were that, as usual on this thread, 1) satisfaction and 2) no substance (that I could put my finger on). Hence my questioning.

Dr. J may be professional, diplomatic and kinder than Ms Lewinsky but how about the bamboo stick. It does not matter what I think about the three fairness principles, but, since asked, I say the first I approve. The second is questionable as it would be hardly fair - at least if you ask the TDMA camp.

Third is so vague that anything could be justified according to it (3G system should be selected EITHER by superiority in performance OR features OR cost OR "if no material difference", most compatible). Nobody in charge of the decision is going to sign anything this ambivalent unless they smoke the other brand.

IMO important point about the proverb is that the others see the bamboo stick. Its not concealed.
