Special Story Today!!
{{{{{Good Morning Everyone}}}}}
Todays story is very special to me. I have been getting requests from other boards to cut and paste my stories. I want to share a PM and my answer (with their permission) first. Things became very poinant to me last night, we had a house fire call, when we got there, put out the fire, and it was all over, the home owner came and told me "without you guy's volunteering, we would have lost everything". Why do I do the things that I do?
The PM:
Bill -
Thank you so much for sharing that story with us. I was truly, truly moved, and how much I appreciated the time it took you to type it up. Hopefully, I'll be able to find it when someone needs it.

My Response:
Raven,
Believe me, It was my pleasure. Far to much negitive on the net. I used to think that I could not make a difference. What could "just me" do? Well that has changed, If I can just put a smile on one persons face each day, or give them a good feeling, then "just me" "HAS" made a difference. You pass on my story to someone who might need to hear it, "just you" "HAVE" made a difference, and when we get everyone doing this, "THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT".
For tomorrows story, (BTW, you have just given me the theme for), I would like to cut and paste your note to the public? I will only do this with your permission. You have a great day!!!

Now todays story.........
One At A Time
A friend of ours was walking down a deserted Mexican beach at sunset. As he walked along, he began to see another man in the distance. As he grew nearer, he noticed that the local native kept leaning down, picking something up and throwing it out into the water. Time and again he kept hurling things out into the ocean. As our friend approached even closer, he noticed that the man was picking up starfish that had been washed up on the beach and, one at time, he was throwing them back into the water. Our friend was puzzled. He approached the man and said, "Good evening, friend. I was wondering what you are doing." "I'm throwing these starfish back into the ocean. You see, it's low tide right now and all of these starfish have been washed up onto the shore. If I don't throw them back into the sea, they'll die up here from lack of oxygen." "I understand," my friend replied, "but there must be thousands of starfish on this beach. You can't possibly get to all of them. There are simply too many. And don't you realize this is probably happening on hundreds of beaches all up and down this coast. Can't you see that you can't possibly make a difference?" The local native smiled, bent down and picked up yet another starfish, and as he threw it back into the sea, he replied, "made a difference to that one!" By Jack Canfield and Mark V. Hansen
Lets all make a difference today, even if just to one!!!!
