Plug and Play Service Fulfillment/SONET over VoIP
MetaSolv's Telecom Business Solution(TM) (TBS(TM)) software will be linked to different suppliers using existing technology to effect automated activation of a premium-class SONET/SDH service along with SLA notification. In addition, the automated flow-through of information from ordering through testing for a Voice over IP service will be demonstrated. MetaSolv's Telecom Business Solution (TBS) software will be handling the ordering and service provisioning for voice over IP.
Common Interconnect Gateway Platform for open OSS Interconnection
For the local ordering scenario, MetaSolv and DSET will jointly demonstrate the integrated OSS interconnection solution, utilizing MetaSolv's Telecom Business Solution (TBS) software and DSET's OSSInterconnect(TM). The solution facilitates the exchange of Local Service Requests (LSRs) for Local Loops with Number Portability between and among competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs), incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs), and the US Number Portability Administration Center (NAPC) enabling them to act as trading partners in the ordering of local services.
Phase II follows Phase I of MetaSolv's participation in the Catalyst Projects that took place at the TeleManagement World in Paris, France in April. The most significant progression in Phase II, is the use of CORBA to exchange information between vendors. Phase III of the Catalyst projects will be in Hamburg, Germany in April of 1999. The goal is to integrate the various Catalyst projects together for a super demo at Telecom 99 in Geneva, Switzerland in October 1999. MetaSolv will be one of several companies that will perform live product demonstrations highlighting key areas of TeleManagement Forum's SMART TMN project.
MetaSolv's TBS software is an object-oriented client/server solution utilizing a Windows(TM)/95 or Windows/NT client workstation, coupled with Oracle(R) database server technology. Pricing for TBS software is dependent upon functionality configuration and the number of users. MetaSolv's TBS software is currently available through MetaSolv Software, Inc. at 800-747-0791.
