I also noted that it had a hard coating to protect the media from CONTACT with the heads. Also that the heads are floating extremly close to the platter. Gus did you or one of the other Techno guys once post a study which said that they could read data from a MR head but only in CONTACT mode? I think the study was done in June but the post was August or Sept.
