Ross Perot??

Given that his firms--EDS & Perot Systems--are potentially likely to be tied up in massive court battles, I don't think ol' Ross will step up to this one.

Remember that EDS particularly was in at the creation of the outsourcing industry, so Ross stepping up to 'solve' a problem he could be seen as having created might be tough to spin.

But who knows? At this point, I think all political bets are off. With few exceptions Y2K appears to be incomprehensible to the mind of a regular politician.
