Demonstrated at AHIMA Convention

(SAN DIEGO, CA - October 13, 1998) - Norris Communications, Inc. (OTC: NCII) announced
that Lanier Worldwide, Inc. has extended its multi-million dollar development and manufacturing
agreement with the Company through December 2001. Lanier Healthcare, a business unit of Lanier
Worldwide, Inc., introduced Cquence(TM) Mobile to the medical industry at the American Health
Information Management Association (AHIMA) annual convention held last week in New Orleans.
Lanier is one of the world's largest providers of dictation devices and systems, document
management solutions, services and support with over $1.6 billion in annual sales.

The new Cquence line from Lanier Healthcare is an integrated medical document management
solution that manages each progressive stage of a medical document's lifecycle - creation,
completion, distribution, and retention. Cquence Mobile, a key element of the Cquence family, offers
healthcare providers a mobile digital dictation unit and computer interfaces developed by Norris
utilizing their patented technologies.
