The CBS marketwatch article was interesting, though I thought it took an overly negative, apocalyptic slant.

No instance of failure to perform by an AOL e-commerce customer was given. Though it seems such failures are likely given the nascent stage of the industry, the stream is unlikely to become a torrent in the foreseeable future. There's simply too much capital seeking internet commerce. Those few that do fail will be replaced by more able companies.
