PT it's not all that complicated. The first screen you look at to the right when you put in a stock symbol for Quote.com shows each B/A for the MM line up. The actual B/A is taken from the highest bid and the lowest ask in the line up.
If you see an ask of .12, it doesn't mean that is the actual ask. It means some MM is asking that much, but his bid may be .02, meaning he doesn't really want to trade at this time with a spread like that.
If you click on the screen to your right(the colored in area with the B/A, you'll get a screen that shows you the ask, best ask, last trade, best bid, and bid. BTW when you see the number next to volume, you add only two zeros to the number, not three, to get the size of the trade. Thus the last trade I currently see for ZULU shows the size as 450. You add two zeros to that and come up with 45,000, not 450,000. |
