but 2000wafers a week in a plant that is only capapble of 10K a month, and is "officially" only 1/3 utilized (per company announcements).

I think it is 1/3 equipped, but fully utilized. But it apparently making other things than CPUs. Some .35u equipment was used even before first CPU started to roll. NSM is also supposed to be starting the production of LAN chips there for availability this quarter.

This puts CPU cost (not including packaging and testing) at approx $15 which is right on.

I think there were other estimates of $25 (including packaging and testing) which would make sense. $60 per chip seems way too much.
