And vodka is also the purest of the alcoholic potables and the least likely to cause rotgut (a highly technical medical term). Properly aged scotch is another. I know this because I did an exhaustively researched paper on alcoholic beverages and distilling techniques when in school. It was a self-chosen topic, so the teachers must have thought I was one weird kid. Need I say that alcohol was involved?
