Richard,
No one cares about mining stocks today, at least not many individuals. The ones that did and could have believed in the changes of the mining industry have been burnt so badly that they either won't or can't invest in these companies any longer. One of the big things that moved IPM and gave it a valient fight against the shorting effort were the institutions that bought into the stock. Of course history has shown how easy it was for Furlong and Doyle to run that stock into the ground.

At these levels we may see fairly impressive % gains but high supported stock prices are going to have to come from a balance sheet that shows positive cash flow or institutional investment or a combination of both.

Look at it from this perspective and tell me what you think. Maxam releases news that they have convinced BLM to issue all needed permits and COC has shown that the recovery process works on large scale bulk testing. Ok, that is what everyone is waiting for but now they need to know the economics and Zeev being the master of creation will have to come over and bless the process. A process of which we can only guess at because it will be propriatary information and regardless of anything he will prove it doesn't work. It will take at least half a year to ramp up to any kind of meaningful production. Who is going to be investing in the company while this happens to drive the stock price up? Maxam needs heavy support and that is not going to happen at these levels IMO. Perhaps the POG would help if it went up but I don't see that happening any time soon either unfortunately. Thoughts?
