Does one have to sell calls in this market to make money? I bought OEX OCT puts yesterday and sold them 100 points lower today....at a small loss! Sucks to be right on the market direction but not be able to profit from it! There seems to be a strong bias favoring the option writer.

Looking at closing prices, it looks like both calls and puts closed lower even though the market was off 63 points.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA
