I have used that Market Minder box as just a time & sales view, and also with the MM info. When the MM info was turned on, there was just too much info scrolling across there. I guess the key is excluding the ECNs and certain MMs as you stated. I'll give that a try.
I read about the MMs using INCA to hide what they are doing in the book _Guerrilla Investing_, but I haven't finished the book. There is another book that I want go get called _The Electronic Day Trader_ by Marc Friedfertig. I hear that it explains a lot of that MM stuff, and is for advanced traders.

BTW, I'm up in Manhatten right now. I was supposed to be here for 2 weeks, but my trip was cut short. Tomorrow I am heading for Syracuse on business once again. Not sure how long I'll be there, but I won't be able to trade. Good thing, though, as I need a break from the losses. I'll have to tell you later about this screw up that happened with my broker, which cost me. I have no recourse either.
