JC, LSI is one of my major investments, which unfortunately also has had a performance similar to the one you showed. Microsoft whose technology I do not own nor admire has gone up, up, up. I am not capable of defending ptsc1000 except to say that it is patented and is currently being used as a java accelerator.

As a Sun investor, I have been unable to understand what has happened to all the picojava chips that were supposed to be produced. The article this week that indicated that the latest picojavaII is a "cow dead at birth" (http://www.infoworld.com/cgi-bin/displayStory.pl?98106.ecjavachip.htm)just showed me that for the time being the only chip currently available for Java is ptsc1000. Maybe LSI should license it. I don't know. It is clear though that Sun is placing its bet on embedded processors working with java and jini and psc1000 is available. The stock has definately not been a good investment, but I've lost more money on LSI as of now.

All the best,
Michael
