Ian,

<Strategic for NN to establish the link with ERICY through the affiliate...>

I'm a litlte sceptical of alliances. Alcatel resells Xylan switches, then goes off and buys Packet Engines. LU and BAY have an alliance, then NT buys Bay. CSCO tries to partner with NT,LU and ALA and now they're on their own.

NN's track record of alliance with larger telco suppliers hasn't exactly added much share-holder value. The much talked about Siemens alliance has yet to bear any fruit (where oh where is that 36190...). They've partnered with ALA to win WIC Connexus, yet you probably won't hear of another LMDS deal with ALA. And we've read lots on CSI and how COMS will bring an added dimension to NN products, yet we've yet to see any real impact to NN's value proposition that translates into higher share prices.

Now if ERICY wants to buy NN .....

Cheers,

Peppe
