Stinko Products We Despise

Sony Vaio subnotebook. Sometimes it's not how
badly a product operates. It's how badly it
disappoints you.

Imagine a date with a supermodel. You're
expecting the best night of your life. When you
pick her up, she makes you wait 45 minutes. At the
restaurant, she visits the ladies room for 20
minutes while you stare at your congealing entree.
At the club, she excuses herself for a half hour to
giggle with friends.

The three-pound Vaio is the thinnest, best-looking
subnotebook on the market. With a powerful
Pentium processor, it should be plenty fast. But it
is (apparently) hobbled by an incredibly sluggish
hard disk. The machine is so slow you can barely
get any work done because you are forced... to...
wait... so... often.

And I'm not even going to mention that the
company sent a 32 MB machine even though we
paid for 64 MB. Or that its battery was defunct.
When I ordered my Vaio, I was prepared to fall in
love. Within 24 hours of trying to get work done
with it, I detested it.

Imagine what kind of slime company would steal 32 MB of RAM from a customer!!!

Gee, they didn't get the disk drive right either.:-)
