OT All of my longer term stuff went short late in the day. I never had problems with any customs, I do not think. Perhaps I just look like Jack Armstrong or something. I actually just walked by Irish customs once without even realizing it was there until I was well past. Going back and forth from Canada is only marginally more of a problem than crossing the George Washington Bridge....less of a problem, actually...if the Yankees are in town the damn Bridge is at dead stop. As for Mexico I have only gone in and out through Tiajuana .... Tijuana ... eh, San Diego. Nothing there either. I guess I just don't look devious enuf. My mother always said I would never amount to much. My wife had an amusing story in Manchester but never me. Perhaps I would have made a good mule.
