A Good Dog or Reflections
Good Evening Mr. Michaelson, my regrets. This thread is one I have always enjoyed and it is a fitting place to put some small token of our affection for our companions on life's road. It gives us a familiarity with the world as we get to watch true goodliness in action.
I love my dog unreservedly, I always shall. I will always love dogs and I will get to know many of them.
I never knew your Ella but she is worth many such small tokens. To a good dog
Her Masters Respect
She lives for food, like any dog, Even though she's trained. The treat she seeks with highest sniff Is old and deep ingrained.
One voice is "hers", and it his "his", And all in his domain, Belong to her, they're in her care Til then, she will remain.
Her life will be a happy one, She will eat, and sleep and play. She will "mostly" do as she is told, And she'll wait and watch each day.
His voice will be her token His love her heart's elect And when then comes... For Eternity...Her Master's Respect.
For Ella, a poem by Graystone.
