The original 686 was disclosed in late 1993 at the MPR Forum (as the M3 was today) but the 686 never shipped until VERY LATE 1995, effectively 1996. WIll the M3 hit it's 600 MHz speed? NSM is banking on a brand new 0.18 micron process in a brand new fab and a brand new very complex circuit design. They have TWO VERY COMPLEX things (Design and Process) that have to work flawlessly TOGETHER. I'm afraid the odds of this happening are not very good. Paul
