Paul,

NSM is banking on a brand new 0.18 micron process in a brand new fab and a brand new very complex circuit design. They have TWO VERY COMPLEX things (Design and Process) that have to work flawlessly TOGETHER

By the time it is supposed to ship Q1 00 the earliest, they should have at least a year and half of experience running the fab and about 9 months of running .18 live. You do have a brand new design, but enough time to get it out.

I think year 2000 is late, that's the biggest problem. The chip would do well at 400 to 450 MHz in 2H99.

Joe
