Maurice is right, I wouldn't call this blackmail... I would call it extortion. So Qualcomm wants to block all other 3G standards. What happened to "let the free market decide"? I thought that it was supposed to be a divine blessing that USA has four digital standards. And now Qualcomm is saying that only one kind of 3G standard is allowed to exist - the kind that is compatible with IS-95. Let's keep in mind that outside USA and Korea there are maybe 3 million CDMA subscribers. So the entire world would have to accommodate what is currently a two-country standard. Very reasonable.
