If you connect to Checkfree billpay using a subscription through Quicken you can get a direct connect through the internet without the need to direct dial. Only problem is that it's $9.95 per month.

I chose this solution a couple of months back and have found the billpay interface through the Quicken connection to be a little slicker and more integrated than doing billpay with a direct dial-up to Checkfree. I had also toyed with the idea of doing billpay through my bank (Bank One) but did not like their interface and the fact that it was not as closely integrated with Quicken as I would like.
