So what if Ericsson derails Qualcomm's 3G solution by claiming they have essential CDMA IPR's? And all 3G standards will be tied up in courts by litigitous companies? Ericsson has already stated that they have IPR's needed in CDMA 2000. I'd say that would be criminal stupidity. And all this because Qualcomm will not accept the kind of licensing fees that are in line with the industry norms. Demanding a 5% licensing fee is simply extortion.
