To all - Ericsson and some "junk mail" from John Dessauer (a stock market newsletter guy).

In yesterday's mail, I received an "urgent confidential report" from John Dessauer (and his publication : Investor's World).

Before I glanced through it, I had somewhat positive feelings towards him, based on hearing him occasionally on Wall Street Week.

In this thing, he starts "waxing eloquently" on wireless telecommunications; how they made a lot of money already in a great company's stock, and they have another great recommendation for the future.

Imagine my surprise upon learning that ERICY was the great previous (and still being held and recommended) pick.

(The identity of the future pick necessitates "biting" on at least a "trial" subscription). (But, it seems clear that it is not Qualcomm).

Back to Ericsson -- I cannot resist transcribing some of the comments about it. If this is the level of their understanding of wireless, well ... see for yourself.

Ericsson's commitment to R & D -- once scorned by Wall Street -- has made it the clear leader in cellular technology ... with a proprietary operating system, called TDMA, that is fast becoming the world-standard, as VHS became the standard for VCRs.

I don't think I need to say anything more.

Jon.
