Gregg..Don't know about Telstra but my Sony PCS phone and Sprint account is CDMA. Had a Nokia phone thru ATT that was TDMA but ATT had no PCS or cell contract coverage in my home area so I exchanged it for the Sony and am very satisfied with Sprint and the phone. I carry it for emergency as I have an elderly Mother, and my wife and I travel extensively and want to be in contact. I use it mostly for motel reservations and tee times when on the road. Very handy. Found out about The 'Q' later and have bot a few shares. The market usually determines the best system but first politics have to be overcome in the case of CDMA it seems. Luck K
