Interesting what Bill Gates thinks are his three most important "innovations:"

1) The idea that software should be developed to common industry standards.

ROTFLMAO! That IS a good idea, IMHO, but the only standards Microsoft seems interested in is the ones they control.

2) Windows NT, "the first commercial software system developed from scratch."

ROTFLMAO! At least he admits none of their other stuff was "from scratch," but wasn't there a lawsuit between DEC and MSFT over what went into NT?

3) The effort to integrate high-volume transaction capabilities into Windows NT.

ROTFLMAO! An effort does not constitute a success.

JMHO, of course.
