Thanks for the links Sean. I'll check them out. I'm hoping one of these software companies will give me some free services for research purposes. As far as your second question, I have no data provider! Any suggestions? While I realize that I will need this software and data, I don't suspect it will be a major problem. My main decision for now is simply what to test (what indicators). What would your suggestions be? Brian, The logistics of doing this are more complicated than you think. You need data and a out of sample time series generator to do it correctly. I use Quote PLus 2.0 for Data. qp2.com TF+ 8.0 now reads QP2 native. In terms of what indicators to play with. MACD(13,34,89), VMA's, Vidya, StochRSI, Parabolic Sar would be interesting. Once you have software and data you can expiriment till your hearts content. I would get busy acquiring the tools needed to perform your expirment and learn to code using these tools. Sean
