Here are the answers from AETI as a result of my telephonic conversation with Ken Andruski this afternoon.
1) AETI Owns technology and has patents pending
2) Because of restrictions in US laws about export of encryption software, all the export to other nations will be done thru AETI, Canada and AETI, USA will concentrate on selling here in US.
3) Currently AETI does not manufacture Smart cards & Readers required for AETI encryption software products. However they do have plans to manufacture their own Smart cards in near future so that they can cut expenses by 60% of what they are spending now towards smart cards.
4) By end of Dec'98, AETI is planning to report financials. Also, Canadian Govt. may provide grants towards AETI's development costs. This will be made to public in few weeks.
5) AETI is working on signing with a number of OEMs including the TOP 3 in U.S(totalling about 50 OEMs). They expect several OEMs to sign with them. The announcement they made about the deal with DCI is only the beginning.
6)AETI will have a new website by early next week so that users can download 'Stealth drive' product from their website. This is NOT FREE and costs about $39.95.
7)Although AETI has announced several contracts over the past several months, some of the revenues may not be recognised until early next year. One reason being, Govts. & Military orgs. can not BUY their products until AETI is 'FITS 140' certified. AETI is hoping to be certified by the end of this year as they are half way thru this certification process.
8)AETI employees worldwide has about 18 and they also have about 5 to 6 contract employees at any given time.

That's all for now. Pl. call Ken and ask if U have any more questions. Pl. post here the answers.

Thanx,

Sai...
