ROTFLMAO! That IS a good idea, IMHO, but the only standards Microsoft seems interested in is the ones they control.


Correct. And they are "common industry standards" by default.

ROTFLMAO! At least he admits none of their other stuff was "from scratch," but wasn't there a lawsuit between DEC and MSFT over what went into NT?


I don't remember that. I certainly don't recall and charges of code stealing.

ROTFLMAO! An effort does not constitute a success.


You have the release version of NT 5.0? Read it again - "current efforts". They know NT4 doesn't cut it.
