To Paul-- I asked my wife, who is an English professor, which was correct; dumb-ass or dumb ass. She said there were three books on the subject but it remained highly controversial, and depended upon whether your intent was to use the phrase as a noun or an adjective. Most gramaticists preferred "dunb-ass" for ajectival statements.

This is more interesting than the last two years' stock performance!
