I didn't interpret that the brochure touted TDMA as a "new fangled and advanced technology.." I interpretted it from their explicit disclosure, that TDMA is a standard.

Actually, technically TDMA is a standard. It was developed by the standards body in Europe, right? IS-95 is a standard, too. However, I don't think that is the context which the newsletter intended the definition for "standard."
