I am looking for a new broker. I'm open to hear suggestions from everyone. I currently use Ameritrade. I am not happy with their slow confirmations on executions and slow system to go from one page to the next. Also, if their system is slow and you call to place an order, you'll pay up to $18 vs. advertised $8 for online. They are expensive for options imo at $25 + 1.75 per option.

I like Dreyfus, formerly Pacific Brokerage. Very fast executions. Options are 1.75 per contract min 15, but if you trade 10 that is 17.50 vs. 42.50 with Ameritrade.

The only thing I like about Ameritrade is they have given me authority to do spreads on options with $5K in the account.

So, I'm looking and I have seen the SmartMoney article and Gomez' evaluation. I'm looking for the common man's opinion and you are the common man, with respect.

So, Thanks for your help.
