Glenn, AAPL rose from 30 to 40 over the last week, so the earnings surprise must have been priced in. As for XYLN, I show no after-market trades after 4:19 (11 7/8), which was before the announcement and CC. Stock was probably halted prior to announcement and didn't after the CC, as far as I can see.
