Interesting link here, seems Sir-Tech is
leaving the publishing business.

gameweek.com

It would be nice to see ATVI get
Jagged alliance 2 and Wizardy 8,
or better yet just buy the development
company. I always liked their games, ATVI
could use a good RPG.

Tenchu is a hit, at least the Usenet folks
think so. Still alot of posts, now the buzz
is "sequel". I sure hope ATVI has the rights
to do one.

Atari Classics are getting hammered, seems
the game might have been rushed to make the qtr.
The developers are fighting back, but there's
a few dissappointed people.

Last but not least, this industry really
sucks right now. Maybe TTWO and ATVI should
merge, then the combined companys would be
the biggest distributor of "interactive games"
in the world.
They could just rake in the cash with over
1500 games coming out. I still haven't
figured out who's going to play all these
games, but this is a 5 billion dollar industry.
I wonder if they get that number by adding in
the sales lost to the CDR's and Warez folks.<G>

I might buy more after earnings, there's really
only 3 companys left that the big boys would want.
ATVI, THDO, and IPLY. The rest are really just
publishers, or own a certain % of a development
company. I guess EIDSY is trying to add to there
development dept, THQI is closing 1 of theirs, ALKM
and GTIS have too many shares outstanding, strange
days indeed. I can't imagine MAT is going to sit
around and let HAS get a big lead on them. CD is
thinking of either doing an IPO or selling there
division. Problem there is they paid over 2 billion
for their companys,i can't imagine they are even worth
1 billion now.

Interesting posts Peter and Tom, Peter the "soap"
game is a winner, don't know about springer, but
imagine having a game that never ends??, people could just
download a new level? character? storyline? on a weekly
basis. They could use alot of the has been actors who
graced our monitors when we endured the "interactive movie"
phase.
