Maxwell Technologies Announces Agreement With ReadyCom Estimated At $6 Million

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WISE)--Oct/ 14, 1998--Maxwell Technologies Inc. (NMS:MXWL) today announced that its I-Bus subsidiary has entered into an agreement with Raleigh, N.C.-based ReadyCom Inc/, worth an estimated $6 million over the next three years.

Uoder the terms of the agreement, I-Bus will supply fully integrated PC platforms, including CPU boards, passive backplanes and system enclosures, for ReadyCom's new Responder(TM) Portable Two-Way Voice Mail(TM) service.

"We have been working with ReadyCom on their Responder(TM) project to support their development of a solution that meets the needs of the growing voice messaging market. With I-Bus' innovative technologies and customer commitment we are creating new markets for our computers which are being used in new areas, including telecommunications infrastructure."
