The solution
Beverly's goal was to implement a new clinical software application, specifically designed for the nursing home market, to automate critical processes and significantly reduce administration costs. Integrating its clinical, financial, dietary and therapeutic systems will make it easier for Beverly to determine exact services provided for reimbursement.
Optimizing the new software system required replacing Beverly's existing desktop systems with new systems from Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:DELL) designed to take advantage of advanced PC management technology, enhanced functionality and higher performance components.
"We wanted to leverage Dell's direct capabilities. After reviewing several vendors, we selected Dell because it could provide the same level of service, quality and component consistency to multiple locations across our enterprise," said Coyne. "For technology management and cost control, this is extremely critical for a company like ours that has hundreds of nursing homes and multiple healthcare facilities nationwide."
