No... only IDE currently.

So, they must provide some kind of EIDE controller card for external drives? This would not provide for the expandability you would get with a JAZ2 drive on a SCSI card.

They only make an internal IDE and external Parallel port Sparq. they also have a USB Version. The Syjet which is 1.5G and more expensive is available in SCSI and Parallel port models.

See here.

note:compuplus has it for Sparq for $118!

I have had 2 Jaz Carts in 3 years go bad. I own at least 14 though. I don't for sure what the relability #'s are for any of the medias technically but regardless keeping multiple backup copies is essential to any strategy. BTW: Iomega has replaced all my bad cartridges promptly which is surprising considering some horror stories. Most of the failed removable disks I've seen just developed bad sectors.

BTW: used 8mm for years professionally and not higly reliable either. I really don't thing anything is. You would think CDR would be strong candidate but the debate continues over how long the die will last.
DLT and MO are probably the more robust technology going at the moment but are more expensive.
