Daniel, I have found shorting to be quite easy and have yet to incur any problems. Yes, ABW uses RT3 (real tick) and the fills (both short and long) are truly instantaneous. Over dialup 56k (actual connection 44k), the system runs smoothly. I have tried connecting via my laptop at speeds as low as 28.8k without a problem but as with anything, the more bandwidth you have, the more fun you'll have with this setup :) With regard to the ECNs, I honestly can't say what others charge. However, my tickets (which indicated an extra dollar or two for the ECN fills) don't reflect any exhorbitant charges and I can say that for the executions I receive and service provided to me, I simply cannot say enuf kind words either about Watley or this setup. Believe me, If I had a problem, I'd be the first one to voice it. To date, I am astonished at the willingness of the ABW reps to assist clients. I hope my comments answered your questions.
