Their eyes are open -it is their wallets that have been welded shut for a while.
I am sure that common statements in a large portion of Canadian households are
'You are not going to gamble our money now - we may need it for the mortgage' and
'you can't sell that mutual fund now at a loss -it is a long term investment'
