What I didn't expect was that the net, only after 2 hours, is about 50% more profitable!

I'm not surprised at all. You are not comparing apples to apples. You are comparing apples to oranges. { Please, no fruit grower puns } Comparing a net constructed using stocks as relateds versus an index net is not a fair comparison. Properly constructed index nets will always out perform nets using other stocks as relateds.

What I would like to test is adding inputs that contain daily data values for relative strength, average directional movement, negative volume and other indicators. For some reason I think that this type of data input may enhance the index nets even more. Finding a source for this kind of data has prevented me from exploring this possibility. Right now the only way I know of to use this type of data is to use formulas and make your own files, something that I am not very fond of doing. I guess I'm just lazy. If someone knows where I can get this type of data, please enlighten me.
