I can't find a small cap that will go up! this year has not been easy Jan-April was a gift, coined money almost daily since then it has been a struggle this is not a market to buy and hold in for more than a few days at a time and 1997 has been a bad 5 years for small caps my only advice is to keep trying, play small, keep big cash balances, stay off margin overnight, get to know say 10-20 stocks inside and out and focus on them and their nuances and maybe trade more mid to large caps than the little ones often it is easier to make a buck off of a few hundred shares of a higher priced stock than a 1000 of a smaller one and like Sue said, be careful believing what your read on the net; some give the impression that they are making big returns on every trade, or have a "system", or KNOW that a stock is going to fly stop reading those people there is nothing easy about this game/war no sacred cows but there is decent money to be made if you find a method that works for you and stay with it, consistently and by discarding any method that has not worked or has stopped working best of luck
