<<Lets look forward to some interesting times for Plaintree.>>

As you seem to be new to this board, let me welcome you. Not just Plaintree, but I think you will be in for some interesting times. At this price, perhaps Plaintree is a good speculation, but it is not without risk. For us oldtimers who bought in at much higher prices, it is just another chapter in a continuing saga. Is the story nearing its end? The most encouraging thing is a change in top management and the dismissal of the Weiss-Greenfield team, who were unable to sell Plaintree's product at all.

The last there was a flurry in Plaintree, when the Nortel deal was first announced, Wellington unloaded a portion of the block that it holds. They may be unloading more this time around.

Plaintree has supped with the devil (Nortel) and must now live or die with the devil. In this market there are hardly any other options left for Plaintree, and the association with Nortel appears to preclude a sell-out to anyone else, such as Lucent, who are still shopping around.

Maybe Nortel will take us out for a couple of bucks (US) eventually.

Charlie.

PS: I need to sell about 5,000 shares to get a tax loss. Any takers?
