Anyone see the WebTV announcement? This is interesting but I'm not sure I understand the connections. I like the fact that they are working with Microsoft in any regard as I think Microsoft is the sleeping giant in this arena...Paul Allen's purchases and all. Also ties to the fact that their servers run on Windows. I know lots of people who use WebTV at home for kids and elderly parents who are not into everyday use of PCs. Seems to serve a niche and be a lead-in for closer ties between the Internet and Cable/Broadcast. Like the model of one appliance for many applications. Any thoughts out there?
