Don't worry about it. The geology profession took a beating in the last years. Thanks to the con artists being able to hire non professionals and its rubbed off on the whole industry.. Thats why I started answering questions. In the light of BRE-X, people have to be informed. Bre-x is a classic example, most of us knew that they had not proved up the 200 million ounces, but we thought there was at least some gold there. Looking at the numbers we came up with about 4 million ounces. Unfortunately, we were unable to speak out because of a couple of minor lawsuits filed against outspoken geologists. I think the exchanges have to get tough with the reporting, the mechanism of ensuring valid reporting has been in place for years, it just needs to be enforced. I personally have to declare any interests I have in projects before signing a report and actually I don't usually sign a public report for companies I own shares in. I do not usually own shares in the companies I do work for, unless the properties are very good or I get paid in shares because they run out of money. I will complete private reports, that have to be vetted by an independant if they are to be released.
regards shaun.
