enigma, Ireland was a neutral country as were others. I did study history extensively in college. What saved Britain was the English Channel. You might believe in fairy tales but I put my faith in the truth. By the way, I don't dislike the British at all as I have many friends there and have vacationed in England a few times. But I can't accept a rosy and untrue account of history. My statement is not intended to insult or provoke but rather to set the record straight.
