>>What do you make of the polls (both Wash Post and NYT/CBS) which now say that sentiment is turning against Congress and in favor of the President again?

Both polls have a long record of inaccuracy in predicting actual results. The WP had similar figures in '94 and underestimated the Rep share by more than 25% (predicted 42%Rep, actual was 53% Rep). The recent WP poll also fudged the "likely voter" category. Both organizations have been guilty of trying to push opinion by publishing lousy polls. I hope you know that between 40 and 67% refuse polling now, especially among Reps. - that calls even the most expensive polls into question.

Perspective: Congress's approval is much higher than usual and higher than any Dem Congress in memory. I have no doubt that many Reps express more disapproval than a month ago - but it would be a mistake to believe that is a pro-Slick sentiment.

Zogby has a new poll coming out today, let's see what a good pollster says.

btw, people still like their own, 70% approve of their Congressman.
